Robert Surenbroek teaches the Classical Pilates Method as intended by Joseph Pilates passed on to his protégé Romana Kryzanowska. He is certified comprehensively by two organizations, Power Pilates and Romana’s Pilates. In addition to his certifications he has been a teacher trainer for Power Pilates working in the US and Japan.
Comprehensive training means you have not done a weekend workshop on a single piece of apparatus or simply completed an online course or workshop. It means you have done apprentice hours and extensive hands on training. Many programs today teach only reformer or mat, I teach the whole system with all of the apparatus designed by Joe Pilates.

Krisna brings a lifetime of involvement in the health and fitness industry to Square 1 Pilates. She is comprehensively certified by Power Pilates and Romana’s Pilates, both strong Classical Pilates programs. She holds a BS and MS in Kinesiology from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.
Additionally, Krisna is a certified Health Coach from the Dr. Sear’s Wellness Institute coaching individuals and companies in developing solid tools for more vibrant and healthier lifestyles. She is the author of Finding Lifestyle Sanity: A Survival Guide and an active blogger on www.square1wellness.com
